On this page, I share what I’ve been up to lately. The idea is to keep it constantly updated with projects, thoughts, music I’m listening to, movies I’ve watched, books I’ve read, and other things I’ve been into.

Personal Life

I got engaged on May 16th in Cancún, Mexico. After 8 years and 4 months together, Bruno and I decided to take the next step in our journey.

Social Media

I’ve been trying to adopt healthier habits regarding social media consumption this year and, consequently, stepping away from the world of Big Tech as much as possible.

One thing I’ve been doing—and which I believe is working to cut down my social media usage—is spending at least 1 to 2 hours without using my phone after waking up. I check notifications, see if there’s anything urgent (a payment, a message from relatives, or something similar), and then put it aside. This has even helped me get back into reading and “slow down” a bit.

Last year, I completely deactivated my old Twitter account and started using Mastodon as a “microblog” substitute. I deleted my profile and recreated it solely to “reserve” my username and prevent anyone from impersonating me. I also deleted my Facebook profile, which I wasn’t using anymore.

This website

I completely rebuilt this site this year and have been trying to keep it updated. Every week, I set aside some time to tweak the layout, write something in this section, or add something to the recommendations/picks page.

Music

This year, I’m on a mission to discover new artists and genres. For a long time, I had no interest in Brazilian music (with a few exceptions), but I’m trying to change that by following the list of Brazil’s 100 Best Albums and listening to one a day.

Albums I’ve enjoyed this year:

At the bottom of this page, you can see what I’ve been listening to lately.
